: The closest Krispy-Kreme shop around here is on US 202 in Delaware on

: seven miles from the Delaware/Pennsylvania border. That's where you
: can find the freshest Krispy-Kremes. Otherwise, you're stuck with
: Starbucks or Acme.

What about the KK store in Springfield, Delware County, near the
intersection of Rt 320 and Baltimore Pike? It opened about 6 months
ago.

There's a new store opening in the next day or two on Route 309 in
Montgomeryville.

Its in quite a few supers . They are in Pathmark on Cottman and in
Superfresh off of Cottman for sure. There is a Krispy Kreme location on
Cottman ,1/2 block from the Blvd. also. Suffice to say you can't just eat
one.

Suffice it to say I can't eat one. I tried some from the free-standing
store on Cottman, but I really don't care for them compared to some
other doughnuts I've had over the years. I prefer Dunkin' Donuts.

Plus, my definition of a doughnut is that it MUST have a hole in the
middle. A so-called jelly-filled or cream- or creme-filled "doughnut"
does not qualify. Dunkin' Donuts is just as guilty as anyone else of
branding these concoctions "doughnuts"/"donuts" (however they choose to
spell it), and one of my definitions of "disappointment" is opening up a
box of Dunkin' Donuts that someone has brought to an event and finding
that all of the chocolate one in the box are the filled type, not real
doughnuts with holes in them.

One of my other definitions of "disappointment" is biting into what
looks like a chocolate chip cookie and discovering that it is instead an
(ugh!) oatmeal raisin cookie.

They're not the same as freshly made KK donuts from a KK store.

Also, in AM/PM Mini Mart; just today noticed a sign in window of 22d &
Walnut St location.

Cheers,
