Last night we ate at Matyson and I had their appetizer - steamed mussels.
Since I love mussels (and they were excellent at Matyson with wild mushrooms
and a garlic broth served with crusty bread) I was wondering where else in
Philly can you get good mussels.

Dave

Chickie's & Pete's has very good red or white. La Casa di Lucia has good
white.

Personally, I was surprised at how Bertucci's mussels (red) tasted well;
haven't tried white.

Others have mentioned Monks... it's awesome there.

I don't eat much in the way of shellfish, but many people I know swear
by the mussels at The Bards, 2013 Walnut St., Philadelphia 19103 (215)
