I live close to 8th and Washington, but haven't tried any of the
Korean/Vietnamese places around there. Are any of the vegetarian
friendly? It doesn't need to be entirely veggie, just have a reasonable
selection of vegetarian dishes.

Any Vietnamese pho(noodles) can be ordered without meat.
What you'll get is then noodles in soup with vegetables.

Unless explicitly stated to the contrary,
there is a reasonable expectation that
the broth will have been made with meat,
fish or other animal products. My
favorite place to have oriental soups that
are vegetarian is the Empress Garden on
5th. St. below South. It's not real far from
Washington Ave.
